2007 , the art exhibit is also part of a citywide public art initiative coordinated by the City ' s Cultural Affairs Division that highlights the work of local artists in public buildings .

The free exhibit is open to the public from 9 a . m . to 5 p . m ., Monday through Friday , Sept . 4 through Nov . 30 . The artworks will be available for sale .
Participating artists belong to the Hispanic Alliance of Tampa Bay Cultural Committee , or Alianza Hispana de la Bahia de Tampa . The Alliance promotes more than 120 Hispanic and Latino artists and more than 40 not-for-profit community arts organizations , and connects artistic and cultural efforts in the Hispanic community . According to Damaris Soto-Frassica , cofounder of the Committee , the Alliance " promotes culture , education and leadership , while sustaining the unity of the Hispanic community ."
