I am currently a senior with special interest in Nonlinear Optics : Fiber laser and Multiphoton Microscopy , which can help tremendously in identifying and developing new medical detection techniques and nontraditional imaging microscopes . I greatly appreciate the opportunities this scholarship brings to help me focus more on my work and research .

The Jack D . Gaskill Endowed Scholarship in Optical Sciences will empower me to focus on my senior year as I enter the McGuire New Venture Development Program , act as the Filipino American Student Association President , continue involvement with Alpha Kappa Psi , and conduct innovative research through the University of Arizona .
TYLER COLLINS
I plan on getting my masters in optical engineering and I plan to research semiconductor lasers as I progress through my college career in optical engineering . The Jack D . Gaskill Endowed Scholarship will help me greatly with my studies allowing me to focus solely on college rather than a job .
