Thank you to Amica Insurance who has been Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England ’ s largest corporate supporter for over 25 years ! Amica has demonstrated their long-standing commitment to our community by supporting GSSNE ’ s Friends of Girl Scouting Campaign , Community Outreach and Extended Learning Programs , and our Campership Fund . In addition , Amica continues to generously sponsor many GSSNE events like the Gold Award Shine Ceremony , Leading Women of Distinction Awards , and the Camp Hoffman Centennial Celebration !
We are deeply appreciative for Amica ’ s ongoing philanthropic partnership . Not only do they financially contribute to GSSNE , but their employees have also generously volunteered their time and talents to serve Girl Scouts in our council .
Alletta Morris McBean Charitable Trust
GSSNE appreciates the generosity of the Alletta Morris McBean Charitable Trust for their support of all things Girl Scouts in Newport !
Their gift provided critical funding for our Community Outreach and Extended Learning programs and enabled girls , who could not participate without financial assistance , to experience the life-long benefits of Girl Scouting . From individual program supply kits for each girl in our Outreach Programs ( no sharing during COVID ), which were delivered to our program partner sites , to earned badges , their support kept girls in Girl Scouting and also provided two full-day STEAM programs to Girl Scout Daisies and Brownies at Camp Rocky Farm : Amazing STEAM Adventure and 3,2,1 Blast Off !
In addition , the funding from the Alletta Morris McBean Charitable Trust supported the purchase of two new furnaces for the lodge at Camp Rocky Farm in Newport . Our council is committed to preserving this valuable property for our Girl Scouts and this extremely popular camping facility now has heating systems that will support year-round use of the lodges .
