ASSURED SCHOLARSHIPS
Awarded automatically to students ranked in the top 35% of their
graduating class or completing the IB Diploma or AP Capstone
Diploma, and scoring an SAT of 1160 or an ACT of 24 or higher. Specific
qualifications can be found on our website.
NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Students designated as a National Merit Finalist and/or a National
Hispanic Scholar, and meeting Texas State scholarship requirements, will
be awarded scholarships from Texas State. Specific qualifications can be
found on our website.

To apply for financial aid, students must complete
the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
at studentaid.gov/fafsa. The earlier you complete the
FAFSA, the more likely you are to receive aid.

For example, if you qualify for both a National Distinction Scholarship
and a President’s Honor Scholarship, your combined total award could

You could still qualify for resident tuition! If you qualify
for at least $1,000 in Texas State competitive or merit
scholarships you may qualify to pay tuition at the Texas
resident rate.
