RECOMMENDED CURRICULUM
We recommend the following curriculum or its equivalent for
assured admission. Students applying without this curriculum
will go through our review process.
• English (four credits) | English I, II, III, IV
• Math (four credits) | Algebra I and II, Geometry, Advanced Math
• Science (four credits) | Biology, Chemistry and two advanced sciences
such as Physics, Environmental Science, Anatomy and Physiology, or
Integrated Physics and Chemistry
• Social Studies (three credits) | World/Human Geography or World
History, U.S. History since 1877, U.S. Government (half credit),
Economics (half credit)
• Foreign Language (two credits)
• Fine Arts (one credit)
• Physical Education (one credit)

PROGRAM-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Some majors and programs, like the McCoy College of Business,
have entry requirements that must be completed in addition to
receiving general admission to the university.

Complete your freshman application (see
admissions.txstate.edu/apply for details).
(Optional) Submit an essay based on the three provided
topics (see admissions.txstate.edu/apply for details).
Send your high school transcript or GED certificate.
Submit the application fee of $75 (nonrefundable).
Fee waivers are available to students who qualify.
Send official college transcripts, if applicable.
Send your SAT/ACT scores.

*Due to limited testing options, applicants for the spring, summer and
fall 2021 terms may be reviewed without standardized test scores.

Applicants ranked in the top 75% of their class who do not meet
assured admission requirements will be reviewed through our
holistic review process.
