Have you seen a yard waste bag in a swale ? Have you ever found a sled in your yard ? Or a shovel that wasn ’ t yours ? In the event you have , you perhaps aided in the return of the said item or clean up . Homeowners must ensure they put items away after each use so that fellow residents can enjoy the beauty of the community .
Homeowners are responsible for maintaining the outward appearance of their property , which includes item storage . Personal items , including recreational ( sleds , toys , etc .) and seasonal maintenance ( shovels , hoes , clippers , salt , etc .), should be neatly placed out of sight when not in use . Not only is this important for the neighborhood aesthetics , but also because those items stored on the lawn can cause a nuisance to others .
In addition , one of the most widely handled violations is improperly storing trash and recycling receptacles . Trash and recycling receptacles are only allowed on common areas or in public view between the evening before collection and the evening of collection . Please be sure to pull your receptacle in after each use and store them properly . Placing trash outside of the receptacle is an LLA violation as well ; your trash will not be collected if it is not in the proper receptacle . Recycling is currently on Wednesdays throughout Lake Linganore and provided by Frederick County ( any schedule changes can be found on frederickcountymd . gov ). Trash collection is either on Tuesdays or Fridays , depending on which Village you reside in ( please review the community calendar ).
The LLA covenants read as follows : Covenants Article VII : General covenants , restrictions and easements applying to all areas of the development 2 . Prevent unkempt building and grounds . It shall be the responsibility of each lot owner to prevent the development of any unclean , unsightly or unkempt conditions of buildings or grounds on such lot which shall tend to substantially decrease the beauty of the neighborhood as a whole or in the specific area . No building material shall be stored on any lot , except temporarily during continuous construction of a building , unless enclosed out of view in a service yard or within a building .
