Join us for the 19th Annual MahtoREADi , bringing together one community with one book . We are thrilled to welcome local author , Brian Freeman , of THE DEEP , DEEP SNOW , who will join us to discuss this novel , the writing process and more .
Brian Freeman writes psychological thrillers that have been sold in 46 countries and 22 languages . His novel THE DEEP , DEEP SNOW was a finalist for the Edgar Award for Best Paperback Original . He has also been named by Putnam and the Robert Ludlum estate as the official author to continue Ludlum ’ s famous Jason Bourne franchise . Brian ’ s first Bourne novel THE BOURNE EVOLUTION was named one of the Best Mysteries and Thrillers of 2020 by Kirkus .

Books will be available for purchase courtesy of Valley Booksellers , Stillwater , or come prepared by reading the book in advance – check out a copy with the Washington County Library .

Tree of Light and Remembrance Ceremony
Friday , Dec . 3 , 6:30 PM Veteran ’ s Memorial Park , Mahtomedi Free to attend | $ 10 per light
Cherish those who have gone before , brighten the days of someone struggling , or honor those who are an inspiration . A tree in the park will be decorated with lights ; each light representing a loved one .
Purchase lights at $ 10 each through St . Jude ’ s website , contact Michelle Stiepan ( 651-395-5352 , mstiepan @ stjudeofthelake . org ), or stop by the food shelf at St . Jude . At your request , a postcard will be mailed to your loved one or family member acknowledging a light has been purchased in their name . The tree will be lit and names read at the ceremony .
Proceeds benefit the Mahtomedi Area Food Shelf .
The Tree of Light and Remembrance Committee is a partnership of St . Jude of the Lake Church , St . Andrew ’ s Lutheran Church , White Bear Unitarian Universalist Church , Wildwood Lions Club , White Bear Rotary , Kramer-Berg Post 507 , the City of Mahtomedi , Mahtomedi Community Education , and area residents .
Annual VETERANS DAY Ceremony
