Mayor Will Joyce was elected to his first four-year term

as mayor in April 2018 , after serving two years on the
Stillwater City Council . Joyce grew up in Stillwater , graduating
from Stillwater High School and Oklahoma State University .
Joyce and his wife , Rachelle , then spent 10 years in St . Louis , where
he earned a law degree from Washington University , before bringing their four kids back home to Stillwater in 2011 .
As Stillwater s mayor , Joyce is committed to engaging all
members of the community to maintain Stillwater s positive momentum
and expand opportunities for growth , renewal and civic involvement
. He has worked the past two years to implement a strategic
core redevelopment plan that will continue investments in
multi-use transportation infrastructure like streets , sidewalks and bike lanes
; promote diverse and high-quality job growth ; and create a unique
, mixed-use neighborhood link between Stillwater s re-energized
Downtown and the OSU campus . In his day job , Joyce serves as General Counsel at InterWorks , a
Still- water-based , global technology consulting firm . He also serves
on the board at Stillwater Medical and as a Deacon at University
Heights Baptist Church . He received the Distinguished Alumni Award
from the OSU College of Arts and Sciences in 2018 . Joyce s free time
is usually spent helping youth sports teams , proofreading book reports and taking an occasional bike ride .
