LEMONADE DAY
Two young entrepreneurs
On Friday , Aug . 22 , the Chamber sponsored Stillwater Lemonade Day , a lessons-based program that teaches kids the importance of entrepreneurship by giving them an opportunity to run their own business for a day — a lemonade stand . Stillwater community members enjoyed cups of lemonade while encouraging elementary age entrepreneurs to take an interest in starting a business .

Mayor Will Joyce joined us virtually for his third Mayoral State of the City on Friday , Sept . 11 . Joyce , who was elected Stillwater ’ s mayor in April 2018 , shared his vision for the city and plans for the future of Stillwater .

PICNIC IN THE PARK
Picnic in the Park is a fun-filled picnic usually held at Boomer Lake for Chamber members , their staff and families to have a night on us . Yearly activities include inflatables , music , food , potato sack races and a chance to pie our ambassador volunteers in the face . Due to COVID-19 , the 2020 Picnic in the Park was canceled .
ECONOMIC SUMMIT
Each year , the Chamber brings together community leaders and businesses to hear from key local , state and / or national experts at our Economic Summit . Due to COVID-19 , the 2020 Economic Summit was canceled .

The Chamber ’ s Agribusiness Committee usually assists the Oklahoma Junior Cattlemen ’ s Association Summer Preview Show in hosting a Business Persons Beef Judging Contest , but due to COVID-19 , the 2020 contest was canceled .

CHAMBER GOLF CLASSIC

The Golf Classic provides an excellent opportunity for Chamber members to build their teams and connect with clients in a casual way on the golf course . With the help of many volunteers from the Chamber membership and YPS , we hosted 26 teams on the Stillwater Country Club golf course . Teams were able to participate in one of two flights on Thursday , Aug . 6 , while at the same time maintaining social distancing guidelines and donning masks . Cade Crawford with Simmons Bank won this year ’ s Ball Drop sponsored by Chickasaw Telecommunications .

AG DAY
The Chamber Agribusiness Committee members host Ag Day featuring the Farm to You exhibit . Ag Day is an interactive experience for fourth grade students from Stillwater elementary schools . Students visit unique stations to learn about the relationships between agriculture , food and health . Due to COVID-19 , Ag Day 2020 was canceled .
ANNUAL AGRICULTURE BANQUET
The Chamber ’ s Agribusiness Committee and the Payne County Expo Center partner annually to honor agriculture producers and economic contributions in the Payne County region while recognizing a Farm Family of the Year , Agribusiness of the Year and Next Generation of Agriculturalists . Due to COVID-19 , the 2020 banquet was canceled .
