General Information
Safety
Even though our summer is filled with fun , safety is our number one priority at Weinstein JCC Summer Camps . Our camps will follow all recommended COVID-19 safety protocols . There will be daily temperature and health screenings for our campers and our staff to ensure a healthy camp environment . Camp groups will operate in a “ pod ” with no intermingling among pods . Our safety measures will also include security guards on premises ( both at the JCC and Camp Hilbert ), Red Cross trained lifeguards and swim instructors , CPR / First Aid certified staff , a nurse on staff at Camp Hilbert , and background checks for all staff . See page 4 for a complete list of our safety protocols .
Lunch & Snacks
Your child should pack a dairy ( meat and shellfish free ) lunch , as well as a water bottle . Camp Hilbert and Specialty Camp campers are provided a kosher afternoon snack . Specialty campers should also pack a morning snack . Camp Ganim provides a healthy kosher snack every morning , as well as an afternoon snack for full day campers . Snacks and lunches at Camp Hilbert are refrigerated prior to eating . Ganim camper lunches are not refrigerated and should be sent in an insulated pack with an ice block . Although meals are not required to be nut-free , children with nut allergies will be seated in nut-free areas . Camp Ganim will notify parents if their child is in a nut-free room , in which case the child ' s lunch must adhere to the nut-free policy .
Registration
Member Only Early Bird Application runs February 8-19 , with a discount of $ 50 per two-week Camp Hilbert session ( s ). Registration opens to the public starting February 20 .
Communication
• A confirmation letter will be emailed once the camper ' s application has been processed .
• Schedules and updates will be mailed the Wednesday before each new Camp Hilbert session begins .
• Stay up-to-date through our private Facebook Summer Camps Group , CampMinder and email updates and at weinsteinjcc . org .
• Camp documents and camper personal medical information are located on CampMinder . Login details will be sent with confirmation email .
