2021 April Newsletter | Page 10

For the month of April, our learners can look forward to more discoveries, focusing on the strength of pressure and surface tension, as well as recycled treasures in honor of Earth Day. We’ ll also add some magic to our learning, but don’ t worry, we won’ t keep any secrets. We encourage you to ask your little one how we pushed an egg through a bottle or how we made milk dance. Next month, we’ ll get down and dirty with some six-legged creatures and put our green thumbs to work.
Our vocabulary this month includes:
RAINBOW
RECYCLE
DISAPPEAR
CREATE
We had a lot to celebrate in March – from Dr. Seuss’ birthday to seasons changing. Our older learners acted as meteorologists as they announced weekly forecasts to their peers. They also appreciated painting outside while creating drip-art to mimic falling rain. Our littlest learners were also captivated by the weather by exploring different cloud-like medium, ranging from shaving cream to cotton balls. All of our learners also participated in whimsical Seussical activities like sensory oobleck and building tall, topsy-turvy red and white hats.
Next month, we’ ll jump into the animal kingdom and learn about different species and their springtime habitats.
