When you look at SCAD today , what role did your creative thinking as an educator play in the story , and how have you cultivated these values within yourself and at SCAD ?
A : As an educator , I know that positive reinforcement is the best way to teach and learn . So , while students work hard at SCAD ( alumni say they hire each other because of their SCAD hustle ), they also benefit from enthralling environments and many perks like a constant stream of leading lights in the creative fields .
From social media to marketing , from branding to budgeting , SCAD Bees become pros with experience in their résumés as well as elite degrees , long before they stride the stage at commencement . That ’ s because SCAD does so much more than prepare students for “ jobs ”— we emphasize fulfilling careers . Meaningful lives . Relevant visions . And practice , practice , practice ! Our students are makers and doers . They are dreamers .
