COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY

A PROACTIVE APPROACH TO HEALTH

In September 2016 , 10,000 people from 135 zip codes across northern Nevada volunteered to participate in the Healthy Nevada Project ( HNP ) launch . The project is a partnership among the Renown Institute for Health Innovation , the Desert Research Institute and the Nevada Governor ’ s Office that offers Nevadans no-cost genetic testing . Five years later , the project has more than 50,000 participants and continues to grow and support extensive , more complex research studies .
