A NOTE FROM OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS CHAIRPERSON AND PRESIDENT & CEO

Despite another tumultuous year , two things remained steadfast during the 2020-2021 fiscal year – delivering our mission to enrich the lives of children and families with hope , health , and happiness and the incredibly generous support of our community .
One of our most significant responsibilities is the safety and security of the children and families in our care . This has guided our infection prevention practices and precautions throughout the COVID-19 pandemic . We are working and living in extraordinary times , and our team members , children , and families need us to be at our very best .
We were happy to bring some of our residents ’ family members to visit in person . We welcomed small groups of volunteers back to our campus . Inviting stakeholders back to the Home impacts those in our care and supports our team in delivering our mission .
During this fiscal year , Open Arms Children ’ s Health worked toward partnerships with Norton Children ’ s Medical Group and the University of Louisville School of Dentistry . In early fiscal year 2022 , we transitioned medical , audiology , and psychiatry services to Norton Children ’ s Medical Group and dental services to the University of Louisville School of Dentistry . These well-respected partners will expand services to more children in our community and continue to provide care to those served by the Home .
The Home ’ s commitment to racial healing helped us navigate difficult moments in this fiscal year . It will continue to strengthen our resolve to be a light of strength for the community . We know our work towards racial healing will take time , and the foundational work at the Home has been slow and steady . Our commitment is essential to our clients , team members , and community .
This year , the generosity of our community made it possible for us to provide the best care possible for the children and families who receive our services . We are thankful for your ongoing support . Words can ’ t express our appreciation for all you do for Home of the Innocents . Thank you for helping us continue to serve those in the community who need our care the most .
