MEET THE EDITORS :

Liam Lowe

Liam is currently in his second year studying Communications and Media Studies ; wanting to learn more about graphic design and editing , he thought this opportunity would be a great personal challenge to improve such skills .
What would you say to someone thinking about submitting their work ? Do it ! Or even yet , consider nominating yourself for next year ' s SotA Showcase if you are passionate about your work or want to gain performing experience .
What have you most enjoyed about this project ? It ’ s been amazing working with the other editors in this process who are all amazing academics and great at design . I also loved using a different platform to create this year ' s anthology to create a completely different design from the previous year .
What ’ s been the most challenging aspect of putting together the anthology ? Trying to showcase all the nominations in the glory they all deserve .

Heather Mackelden

Heather is an English Literature 2022 graduate .
What have you most enjoyed about this project ? It ’ s been lovely working with the other editors on the team . Everyone is so passionate about celebrating student work and it ’ s been a pleasure to see this project through from start to finish with them .
What ’ s been the most challenging aspect of putting together the anthology ? Probably keeping on top of all of the amazing submissions and nominations ! We wanted to include as many pieces as possible .
What would you say to someone thinking about submitting their work ? I ’ d definitely encourage students to submit any work they feel proud of for next year ’ s anthology ! I ’ ve loved seeing the range of topics students have covered this year and I ' m already looking forward to reading next year ’ s edition .
