Humour is free . There is never a budget on humour . If we laugh at something today , we won ’ t run out of laughter for tomorrow . Laughter is not a resource , thankfully ! So , humour is a great way to connect with people from different backgrounds without taking a toll on the environment . What we ’ ve noticed is that laughter is cathartic , a coping mechanism amid a crisis , especially environmental crises . And humour has the potential to catalyse analysis and mobilize diverse people around socio-economic and political concerns . So , humour can be a tool to help better communicate difficult topics and achieve our societal and environmental goals .
