The Mano a Mano
Scholarship Program
The Mano a Mano Scholarship Program was developed as an initiative to encourage students to continue
their education locally and promote the growth of a highly skilled and qualified workforce. Founded by
Flint Hills Resources and the Corpus Christi Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in 2002, the Mano a Mano
Scholarship Program aims to ensure area students have the resources needed to pursue a degree or skill
certification in the fields needed to fill local job vacancies. Since its inception, the program has awarded
over half a million dollars in scholarships to students who demonstrate a willingness to seek employment
in the Coastal Bend area after graduation.
