Though many weddings
haven’t turned out quite as
planned this year — as
with most events during
the COVID-19 pandemic — Charbonneau
Events Coordinator Lindy Anderson
reminds the public that the
Charbonneau Country Club has a
beautiful venue for weddings.
Since the merging of the CCC and
the Charbonneau Golf Course, and the
construction of the new pavilion, the
wedding venue has expanded and is
open to members of the general public.
The wedding venue now includes
the country club for dancing and a reception,
the pavilion and the rose garden
area.
The first wedding since the pandemic
erupted locally was Aug. 1.
“When they came out to watch the
wedding there were 25 people in
chairs on the rose garden,” said Anderson,
adding that there were also
people watching the ceremony socially
distanced in golf carts.
Anderson said most people who had
weddings planned have canceled except
the bride from the Aug. 1 wedding.
Anderson said although there have
been cancellations, she has received a
lot of inquiries about next year.
Right now, Charbonneau has an approved
caterers list with seven or
eight caterers.
“In the future, we hope to develop
in-house catering,” Anderson said.
She said the venue has adequate
parking space and easy access from
the freeway.
“It’s a beautiful setting and it flows
together really well,” Anderson said.

residents are first priority — Anderson

been positive and constructive. The
board will consider the community

Whatever the final decisions are, no
