Charbonneau Tennis Club By STEVE HALL The Charbonneau Tennis Club’s niche in local tennis HALL Over the past 15 years, the Charbonneau Tennis Club has developed a very enviable niche in the local tennis community which has received little visibility. It all started back in 2004 when Alex McPhail, who was president of the CCC, approached the tennis club and indicated that the country club needed help in dealing with tennis club issues. One of the issues was that the tennis club needed an organization to properly manage the club. Alex provided us with a mission statement, requirements for operating the tennis club and helped us select a board. As the new board started operating, it soon became apparent that we had something special going for us and by developing a good business plan we thought we could carve out a niche in the local tennis community that would allow us to be the club of choice for many of the tennis players in the area.
