EDITOR ’ S Letter

Sayed is of the opinion that the Egyptian

revolution was stolen from the youth . In what appears to be a revolution in Nigeria , the question that lingers in my mind is ; will the youth win ? Will there be a change in Nigeria after all is said and done ?
# EndSars has been trending across all social media platforms . The youths in Nigeria believe it ’ s time to bring an end to police brutality perpetrated by the agency setup to protect them . As the protests go on , the government ’ s position on the matter is rather of much concern to those of us observing from afar . Will the Buhari led administration listen to the voice of the people who put them in the positions they ’ re now or will they stick to the totalitarian method of governance ? Is the democracy being tested in this oil rich country ?
Sitting in his home office , Sayed Badreya and I talked about a number of things including the revolution that took place in Egypt in the early 2000s . I must confess , he ’ s a lovely man with so much passion for Africa in the areas of politics and film . He took his time to walk me down his memory lane through his life and career . Whilst he ’ s getting ready to walk off the theatrical stages , a new one prepares to mount it .
Adina Thembi – Ghana ’ s darling girl . She has over the years warmed our hearts with her angelic voice . In fact , her story cannot be fully narrated without acknowledging her vocal prowess . This year has been good to her and she has geared to share that goodness with the rest of the world . Her debut album is set to hit the world soon .
