The Lakeside
The Lakeside Neighborhood
Homeowners Association had
its annual meeting scheduled
for May 19. Due to COVID-19, the board
decided to hold it outside — rain or shine
— in the neighborhood common area.
We had more than one-half of the properties
represented, signed in, present or
by proxy. We had advised people to

wear their mask and stay properly distanced.
The meeting took 16 minutes
from call to order to adjournment. We
plan to have a lawn party at the same
site later this summer for social mingling,
when that is permissible!

18-25.
Boys & Girls Aid is a local nonprofit
organization that helps ensure every
child living in foster care has a lifelong
connection with a loving adult who will
provide guidance, stability, and a safe
place to call home.
Our traditional fundraising dinner
has been adjusted to an online event in
response to COVID-19 to help keep everyone
safe and healthy. We are confident
that with your support we can still
make a difference and raise the funds
needed to continue caring for children
living in foster care.

gathered by our community. Registration
for the auction begins July 1.
Last year, our community raised over
$100,000 to support the children served
by Boys & Girls Aid. Now more than ever,
we need to show children living in
foster care they are not forgotten, and
we will continue to support them during
these challenging times. We hope you
