She instilled in her children a commitment to social justice and a clear understanding that education is the way to ensure a life well lived. Mrs. Masters is the mother of the founder of the Greene Scholars Program, Debra Watkins. The Rosie Mae Masters Memorial Scholarship was instituted in 2008 to honor her memory. He graduated from Piedmont Hills High School with a 4.25 GPA. When he passed away suddenly on June 28, 2015, he was in his 4th year at the University of California, Berkeley majoring in Spanish Language and Literature and on the Pre-Med track. Bryson’s desire was to become a physician and work in an underserved community. He had an infectious smile and a warm, compassionate, humble spirit. He touched multitudes in his short time on earth. The recipient of the Bryson A.
