GSP Graduates - 2015
PROGRAM
OVERVIEW The Dr. Frank S. Greene Scholars Program (GSP) is a 3rd through 12th grade
science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) initiative that instills academic
excellence and 21st century leadership skills in youth of African ancestry. The
Greene Scholars Program prepares students to compete in the global economy,
enter a knowledge-based technical workforce, and provide role models for future
generations to come. After 17 years as the signature program of the California
Alliance of African American Educators (CAAAE), GSP is now an independent
501(c)3 called Greene Scholars.
GSP HAS
ERASED THE
OPPORTUNITY
GAP Since 2001, the Dr. Frank S. Greene Scholars Program has increased the academic
success, graduation rate, and career path of its students. One hundred percent of
the Scholars who have successfully completed the Greene Scholars Program have
gone on to college. ALL of our Scholars have passed the California High School
Exit Exam (CAHSEE), met the University of California’s A-G requirements for
college admission, and graduated from high school. Our 107 alumni have pursued
B.S./B.A. degrees at colleges and universities throughout the United States; 90%
of them have graduated from college in four years and 60% have pursued STEM-
related degrees. With 49% female scholars, we are also working to erase the
gender gap in STEM.
