elissa Twist Events (MTE), established in 2017, is a
boutique Wedding and Special Event Company
located in South Georgian Bay. I strive to create a magical,
unforgettable experience for every wedding and event I plan
and execute. It’s essential to spend the time understanding
the most significant elements of the wedding day and I focus
on them to create a memorable and personalized wedding
for each couple.
All MTE packages are customizable to ensure couples’ have
the best experience possible. MTE is unique as I always work
directly with my clients, however, I have a team I bring in
for larger set-ups, but will always be the one executing the
details on the big day. With more than 15 years of work
and educational experience, I am an expert in events,
weddings and prop styling. This has enhanced my ability to be
creative, adding a unique flair to each event I have organized.
The wedding and special event industry has always been a
passion of mine, even from a very young age.

I am one of the lucky people that was able to turn that
passion into a career. I made the move from planning events
in Toronto to Collingwood four years ago and haven’t looked
back. I love planning weddings because it is an occasion that
brings out the best in people. I love seeing the whole event
come together and how happy people are. It is amazing to
watch the event spaces transform and people fly from all over
the world to take part in a couples’ magical day. The beauty
of the wedding is what makes me work hard and want to
continue to be part of this truly amazing industry.
When it comes to the wedding day, it is hard to name just
one part that is my favourite but if I had to narrow it down it
would be when the couples’ get to see their vision become
a reality. As I typically work with couples for over a year in
advance of their wedding, they are so happy when they
get to see all their hard work come to life. Being able to
plan events with Georgian Bay as a backdrop is a dream
come true! •
