All Things Georgian Bay
By: Frances Beatty & Amanda Jerome
T
he Georgian Triangle is quickly turning into a favourite
destination for weddings, and we completely understand
why. It boasts incredible natural beauty, wonderful wedding
locations, and it’s just a hop, skip and a jump away from Toronto.
If you’re planning your Georgian Bay wedding and you have
guests coming from afar, you may want to give them some
guidance on what to do and where to go while they’re visiting.
Hike the Bruce Trail
An impressive 895km trail running from Niagara all the way
up to Tobermory, there isn’t a section of the Bruce that isn’t full
of unique natural beauty. If you want a spectacular view and
don’t mind committing to a longer hike, head out to the Osler
Bluff Lookout. It’s an 8km hike with one of the best views on the
trail. Looking for a new adventure? How does rock climbing or
caving sound? Free Spirit tours offers beginner courses in rock
climbing, as well as caving adventures with a guide. They’ll
show you the ropes and get your heart pumping. Too much
adventure for your taste? There’s always skiing, mountain biking,
zip lining, skating, and hiking at The Blue Mountain Village.

Wine & Cider Tours
It’s no secret that The Georgian Triangle is home to many
boutique wineries, breweries, and cideries and that number
grows every year. One of the first wineries to the region is
Coffin Ridge Boutique Winery and offers sweeping views of
Georgian Bay, along with a selection of award winning wines
and ciders. One of the region's newest hot spots is Spy Cider
House and Distillery, a fully organic producer. Enjoy the warm
patio of Georgian Hills Vineyards snacking on Victoria’s Country
Platter paired perfectly with Wild & Inspired Wines.
