THE LWE & FORCE FOR CHANGE MISSION OF 2020
As the Founder of Leading Women Entrepreneurs ( LWE ) and the Force For Change Awards , I am so proud to share this 2020 Force For Change list that honors some of New Jersey ’ s finest citizens . Each of the honorees showcased here are exemplary . I invite you to read about the many innovative ways these people and their companies took extraordinary measures to make our state once again “ Jersey Strong .”
Our mission at LWE is to create a sustainable environment that brings leaders together and showcases their outstanding attributes and contributions .
Over the past decade , LWE has recognized over 500 of the state ’ s best and brightest women in an effort to raise the visibility platform for diverse female leaders . In November 2019 , we expanded our mission by hosting The Force For Change Conference featuring music legend Chaka Kahn . Among the other prominent presenters was New Jersey ’ s First Lady Tammy Murphy and CNBC ’ s Sue Herrera . The event was attended by hundreds of New Jersey ’ s most respected female business leaders and entrepreneurs . Little did we know then that this would be our last live in-person event for the foreseeable future .
Once the pandemic hit in early 2020 , we were called to once again expand our LWE mission to include our outstanding male colleagues . Today , we proudly showcase New Jersey ’ s finest women and men who selflessly and brilliantly helped guide us through this unprecedented time .
Our newly established LWE “ Force For Change Initiative ” recognizes some of New Jersey ’ s amazing heroes and innovative thought-leaders , as Illuminators and Crusaders , each of whom have made a significant and innovative changes to address the pandemic and pave the way for a better future for New Jersey ’ s citizens , the nation and the world .
I have dedicated my entire professional career meeting , networking , and shaking hands with thousands of people throughout this great state . Our new reality is that we may never fully return to our traditional methods of networking .
Thankfully , technology has opened up new doors of opportunity and in many ways has helped us to expand our connections and increase our time efficiencies and effectiveness .
So today , I start a new journey with you . One that keeps us largely behind computer screens but does not dim the light of the awesomeness of the men and women we honor or the positive impact that have made upon our great state of New Jersey .
