Place

That ’ s where aftercare facilities come in . Sometimes , survivors need a safe place to recover from the incredible trauma they ’ ve experienced and to learn new life skills . One such safe house is the Art Therapy center in Thailand , built by Rapha International with dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation ® support . The center includes a fishpond that provides survivors with opportunities to learn instrumental life skills , including farming , catching , and preparing fish . Not only is the fishpond an educational resource , but it also provides food for the survivors and staff . However , it fell into a state of disrepair over time due to its original construction and dilapidation , and had become unsafe for the staff and survivors to use .
Earlier this year , Blue Diamond Rachel Loth connected with Rapha International through the dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation . Together , Rachel and Rapha International decided to focus on raising funds to repair the fishpond . Through generous contributions and Rachel ’ s intensive time and effort , she raised $ 7,593.16 . The dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation matched with $ 7,500 , totaling $ 15,093.16 .
Even with setbacks due to COVID-19 , including extra safety measures to keep survivors and contractors safe , the project was completed in August 2020 . The fishpond is now functioning to its fullest capacity . It serves as an effective educational tool , a source of food , and a beautiful feature of the safe house , helping to put survivors on a path to recovery and happiness .
