We will continue to weed out invasives and add more plant material to the hillside above the patio . It is mostly in the shade and currently has some good ground covers like wood aster and comfrey . At the top of the bed , we put cotoneaster shrubs to hold the soil in place . They work as well as junipers in spreading and reducing erosion .
On the other side of the patio , we have been fortifying the hillside with stone dug out of the yard . We will continue to add plants there as well . We could not be happier with the outcomes . The backyard is beautiful and easy to maintain — what a pleasure !

You can also receive a list of professionals qualified to do this kind of work . The rebate program is first-come , first-served . It lasts through February 2021 . The next cycle begins on March 1 , 2021 . The application will be available by January 1 , 2021 , at www . lakelinganore . org / waterside-buffer-program . Please note , you may only apply once .
