AWB continued its legacy of hosting candidate debates during the 2020 Virtual Policy Summit . Candidates for five statewide offices participated in a series of debates including :
Superintendent of Public Instruction : Incumbent Superintendent Chris Reykdal and challenger Maia Espinoza took part in a debate moderated by KING-TV reporter Drew Mikkelsen .
Lieutenant Governor : U . S . Rep . Denny Heck and state Sen . Marko Liias took part in a debate moderated by Jim Camden of The Spokesman-Review .
Commissioner of Public Lands : Incumbent Commissioner Hilary Franz debated challenger Sue Kuehl Pederson . TVW President Renee Radcliff Sinclair moderated .
