Norwegian conductor Rune Bergmann
leads the BSO in the third movement from
Mozart’s Oboe Concerto and Haydn’s
Sinfonia Concertante in B-flat Major,
a charming showpiece for an unusual
combination of solo instruments — violin,
cello, oboe and bassoon. Bright in spirit
and full of wit, this work will show off the
solo skills of four talented BSO musicians.

mysteries of Elgar's masterpiece.
Chinese violinist Ning Feng, winner of the
International Paganini Competition and a
much sought-after soloist, will join Marin
Alsop for Paganini’s First Violin Concerto,
an exciting combination of technical
wizardry and beautiful melodies.
