Easy and quick to make, these treats will make you the talk of the town, and a diet winner! Pizza Passers 1 package (48 ounces) frozen dinner roll dough, thawed 1 jar (15 ounces) pizza sauce 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded, reduced-fat mozzarella cheese 1/2 cup chopped red pepper 1/2 cup chopped black olives 1/2 cup chopped fresh mushrooms Assorted veggie fillings, as desired Extra virgin olive oil Directions: To make crust, press together two dinner rolls. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into an oval (6-inch by 3-inch). Spread 1/4-cup pizza sauce on dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border around edge. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup cheese, one tablespoon pepper, one to two teaspoons olives and one to two teaspoons mushrooms. Press together two more dinner rolls; roll into slightly larger oval. Place on top of fillings; press edges to seal. Next, make the decorations to create the look of football laces. First, cut a roll in half; roll thin (about 1/8-inch). Cut a strip of dough (about 3-inch by 1/4-inch). Place lengthwise down center of pizza pocket. Cut four more strips of dough (1-inch by 1/8-inch); place across center strip to form laces. Cut two dough pieces (4-inch by 1/4-inch); place one piece across each end of pizza pocket, curving to form crescent shape. Place pocket on greased baking sheet. Lightly brush top with oil. Cover; rise in warm place for 15 minutes. Bake, uncovered, at 375?F for 15-17 minutes, or until golden brown. Cut in half before serving. Serve with additional warm pizza sauce for dipping.
