Learn the Concept of Juggle

T
he word “balance” is quite the catch phrase these days. People often say, “I’m working on having more balance in my life, but I guess I’ll just have to try harder.” We try being that skilled tightrope walker who “works hard” to balance it all, all the time. Balance may happen for shorter periods of hyper-focused time, but unachievable for longer periods leading us to dependency on coffee, energy drinks, anxiety and stressful burn-out. I prefer to use the “Concept of Juggle”. Begin by identifying all the balls you juggle in your life: family, career, fitness goals, kids activities, community service, social events with friends and oh yes…quiet time for yourself to refresh and recharge.
