president obama visits desert vista high school
On Tuesday, August 6, President Barack Obama visited Desert Vista High School in Ahwatukee to present a speech on housing and finance. The day before his arrival, a line of students waited outside the school gymnasium hoping to get a ticket for the event, which was held on the second day of school. The senior class, close to 800 students, local politicians and school officials were invited to attend, making up a 2,000 person guest list.
