Schnepf Farms Named “Top Five”
Pumpkin Farms in Southwest
by Jessica Parsons // Photography by Carrie Schnepf
W
hat is it about October that
makes us want to go picking
for pumpkins and running
through corn fields? Ah....to be a kid
again! Maybe it’s the cooler temps, or
just any excuse to get back to nature.
But this year, you won’t need an excuse
to head over to Queen Creek’s own
Schnepf Farms. It’s a one-stop shop for
anyone looking for outdoor fun for the
whole family.
Recently, Schnepf Farms was named
one of the “Top Five” Pumpkin Farms in
the Southwest by Sunset magazine. It’s
also been named the Best Harvest Event
and Best Fall Festival by azcentral.com
and New Times, respectively. The best part
is, it’s right in our own backyard.
This year, enjoy the Pumpkin & Chili
Party beginning Oct. 3, 2013, along with
hay rides, a four-acre corn maze, petting
zoo, honeybee adventure and so much
more, we couldn’t possibly name them all.
New this year—a rock climbing wall and
outdoor movies on Friday and Saturday
nights. Happy Pumpkin Pickin’!
Hillbilly Bob’s pig races are a huge
attraction during the event. The
winner gets a pig nose.
