Badminton By “ Pete ”

Since the beginning of this season , in October , Badminton has been played very energetically , and as a result the improvement has been marked , especially in regard to individual play . To prove this needs only the comparison between the match with the Ladies ’ Clubs played last term and the return play of March 3rd . In the former we were badly beaten ; in the latter we lost only by one game . This refers to the representative team , but the whole school — Juniors and Seniors — must be given credit for their steady work .

K » MH K Sixth Regiment Team Defeats Crofton House

A match was played at the Drill Hall on Wednesday between a team of ladies from the Sixth Regiment Badminton Club and Crofton House School . The following represented the Club : Mrs . McKenzie and Miss G . Judge , Mrs . Bridgman and Miss K . Judge , and Miss McPherson and Miss Hutcherson . The Crofton House teams were : Miss M . Rand and Miss K . Farrell , Miss D . Bell and Miss P . Coulthard , and Miss E . Heaps and Miss R . Clinton . The final result was in favor of the Club , but the games were close and well fought out . Miss M . Rand and Miss Iv . Farrell for Crofton House secured an unbroken record , winning all their games in good form . The Crofton House Club is producing some very promising players .— From the “ News-Advertiser .”
