Photos by Nessa Oliverio, Erica Taylor, and Lizzi Johnson have been printed in a hard copy book, hot off the press! 6:00 Sacred Space: Artist Talk & Workshop (KIAC Ballroom)••••••••••••••••••••••••• with Maria Sol Suarez Martinez. Maria Sol will explore the aesthetics of altars, and how spiritual symbolism spills into art and creation. Workshop participants are invited to bring written prayers of gratitude, petitions, feelings, stories, or objects they don’t mind parting with. 7:00 - 9:00 Derelict, Flotsam & Jetsam (Alchemy Café)•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• A Pechakucha Inspired Event Join local artists and 2019 Canadian Wilderness Artist Residency (CWAR) participants for an evening of “Pechakucha” style presentations and story-telling: each presenter has 6 minutes and 40 seconds to captivate the audience with vulnerable, funny, serious, and educational topics. See page 23. 8:30 - 10:00 Babes Bar Karaoke Kongress •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• (Klondike Conservation Society, 2 nd Ave) Doors 8:00 BBKK is a karaoke lecture series that uses specific pop songs as a central part of the thesis - think academia hacking karaoke or karaoke taking the piss out of academia.
