CONCEPT Immerse your imagination in the wonderful natural 6 — 8 world of the Rocky Mountains and create a variety of multimedia artworks that incorporate natural elements. We begin by exploring the beautiful nature trails surrounding Anderson Ranch as we take time to sketch and gather materials. Then we bring our outdoor inspiration into the art studio as we create delicate watercolor paintings, ceramic wind catchers, hand-dyed silk tapestries and vibrant sun prints. We use all kinds of mediums such as clay, pastels, paint, watercolors, yarn, silk and more! Let’s get lost in our love of art and nature. FACULTY Sherri Kuecker received her Masters degree in education and counseling. She has been teaching students of all ages for the past 22 years and currently teaches at the Heritage Academy in Arizona. Katherine Bell CONCEPT Join the team as we design an ultra-imaginative float 7+ for Aspen’s Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Parade! Lend your creativity and skills to design a spectacular float for all to admire. We draft a master plan complete with an overall theme and float slogan. Then we spend the week painting, sculpting and decorating a variety of artful pieces to dazzle the crowds on this fun national holiday. We use fabric, wood, paint, glue and more. To top it all off, we tie-dye tee shirts and create costumes to wear while we walk alongside the float in the 4th of July parade.
