Complementary/Alternative, or Mind, Body & Spirit Programs
Among the 19% of spas that provide complementary/alternative, or mind, body and spirit
programs, 63% offer Reiki (53%) followed closely by Yoga (60%). Energy work and
meditation or relaxation classes are offered by almost one in two spas (45%) with
complementary/alternative programs.
The range and mix of complementary/alternative, or mind, body and spirit programs varies by type
of spa. For example, among resort/hotel spas providing such services, 87% said they offer yoga,
compared with 47% of day spas.
