Come learn why civilizations past and future still look up and wonder about the night sky. Apr 27 Sa 8-9:30pm FREE Beach Campout | All Ages Pitch a tent and spend the night under the stars! Explore and play near the lake with the whole family, sit around a crackling campfire led by a Heller naturalist and then camp on the beach. A campfire with s'mores and a light breakfast are provided; 6-person tents are available for an additional fee. Please eat dinner Saturday night before you arrive or bring a picnic dinner. Learn how the ravine was created, plants and animals that reside within and what human impacts can do to a unique ecosystem. Min/max is 8/15. April 27 2245174-A Sa 1-2:30pm $10 Spring Bird Count | Adults Help staff and volunteers conduct the annual lakefront bird census, then recap the fun over breakfast at Heller Nature Center.
