GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENT
SELLING
TO THE
GOVERNMENT/
PROCUREMENT
The U.S. local, state and federal government buys nearly $100 billion worth of
goods and services from small businesses each year. Selling to the government
demands a completely different go-to-market approach than the commercial
sector. The Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington Metroplex alone has thirteen coun-
ties and six public universities that will purchase from small businesses. In
order to become a vendor, businesses will need to research and register before
selling to local government entities including UT-Arlington, Tarrant County
College, and the City of Arlington to name a few.
