It starts with all of us. SAMHSA plans to expand its now somewhat unique role as capacity builders, finding innovative ways to share prevention messages, tools, stories, and data through what we call our “three-legged stool”: community engagement, partnership development, and high- quality materials development and promotion. As we do so, we look forward to talking to our partners in this work—from organizations to individuals on the front lines of prevention—to see where we can collaborate and elevate our efforts. We want feedback on what works, what communities are learning about substance use and mental health, and what they need to be even more impactful ambassadors of the prevention movement. Keep visiting samhsa.gov/prevention-week as we share updates and additional resources, and you will learn more about how you can get involved in NPW 2020. And don’t forget to share your NPW events and activities with us—no matter when they take place. *Federal agency or program partner WANT TO HAVE A CONVERSATION ABOUT NPW OR PREVENTION IN GENERAL?
