• King’s Bierhaus, a German food restaurant and beer
house, is under construction at 828 West FM 646 and
should be open by summer 2019.
• I NEOS Olefins & Polymers USA, a manufacturer of
petrochemicals, plastics, specialty chemicals, and
gas and oil products, purchased the 60,000-square-
foot building it had been leasing, hired new full-
time employees, expanded its operations and is
bringing their research and development team to
League City.
• Red River Cantina, 1911 E. Main St, opened in
February in a building formerly occupied by Red River
Bar-B-Que & Grill, which in 2017 moved into a new
10,000-square-foot building behind the old one.
• League City parks are popular spots throughout
the city and host some of the area’s biggest events,
including the League City Music Festival.
As the fastest growing and largest city in the county,
the need for local professional jobs, retail shopping,
health care and entertainment venues is high among the
city’s residents and those of surrounding areas.
The city is continually looking to attract national and
international corporate campus relocations, destination
retailers, premium hoteliers, entertainment venues and
upscale restaurants to serve those needs.
