Alisa went to the door to find out why the bell is ringing. She opened a wooden door very quickly and saw a little old man with a red hat and a huge heavy bag in his hands. The old man seemed very small compared to the bag. “How can I help you?” uncertainly asked Alisa. The old man slightly smiled. “My name is Noel. I am a traveler and I lost my wallet, but I walked for a long time without any food and drink. Could you give me some bread or water, please?’ the man asked wearily.

Alisa was surprised, so she didn’t notice that the bell has stopped ringing. The old man looked tired, weak and unhappy. A hospitable woman invited Noel into the house, treated with fresh pastries and aromatic herbal tea with ginger. They were sitting in the cozy kitchen at the round table and a pleasant fragrance of home-made pastry filled this house very softly. However, Alisa’s family was still sleeping.

The old man told about himself, about his travelling and everything seemed to Alisa very exciting. “Thank you very much, that was very delicious,” the old man whispered and continued slowly, “I saw a very beautiful bell above the door. Where did you get it?” The traveler inspired Alisa’s trust, so she decided to tell him a fantastic story from her further childhood. At that moment, Alisa remembered Granny’s warning nobody could touch a little red box with this peculiar white bell, but she didn’t tell that to the old man. “Maybe, there is nothing to worry”, Alisa thought.
