“Thank you.” I politely smiled and then walked away from him because I was still searching for water. I accidentally crashed into Emily while she was dancing with her boyfriend. She smiled and waved in order to invite me to dance. I shook my head because I was really not in the mood to dance in these killer high heels. As for my water, I couldn’t spot any, just lemonade and juice. I was extremely thirsty and exhausted because of the shoes. My face felt as heavy as a brick because I was not used to use much make up. I sat down on the ground near the exit and kicked my shoes off. Suddenly, Jake showed up with ice cold water bottle. I was surprised but then he said:

“I saw you were searching for something. I couldn’t figure out what you need but I thought you were searching for water, so here I am with a bottle of ice cold water.”

“Thank you, Jake,” I said and smiled with a smile full of thankfulness because I was really thirsty.”

I looked at him and thought why he was so nice to me because we weren’t even friends. I tried to observe his emotionless face in order to find a motive why he is helping me out. He doesn’t seem to use me as some kind of attraction. I appreciated his gentleness and let my guard down. After some time he invited me to dance with him.
