The walls and everything else around us started to collapse, enormous pieces of concrete began falling onto us, but the floor that we were on didn‘t feel like it wanted to miss out on this huge breaking down parade and started to crumble as everything seemed to go downhill at the speed of light.

Suddenly a hole opened up right beneath me. I tried my best to hold on but to no avail. To make it even worse, my daughter, she also got swallowed up by this goddamn hole. I tried to reach her but... The gap between us was too big. I looked everywhere to find a way to somehow save her even if it meant sacrificing myself. I was only meters away from my death as I saw rebar sticking out right beneath my daughter. I was shocked. I fully understood what was going to happen. I was powerless. All I could do was close my eyes...

When I opened them I was... Alive?

Was this just a bad dream? Just some sick joke Perkūnas made me go through?

"Karolis?"

"Karolis! Is everything okay?"

I was back in my house. I've been standing there for a while collecting my thoughts. And then I remembered everything. Our situation after the flooding got worse. It was starting to get cold, our children were scared. My daughter got sick. Then the lifeguards showed up and took us to hospital where the floor collapsed and my daughter was going to be impaled. I almost threw up even at the slight thought of it actually happening, even if it was just a dream. I never wanted to think about it again, so I forced myself to forget those horrific events that happened in my head. The temperature dropped as we were idling around waiting for further notice about the flood as there was nothing else to do but wait. We were running low on food as well. The situation couldn't have been worse. But then my daughter started coughing. I checked her head and it was clear that she had a fever.
