TWO SALARY POINTS HOMEWORK GUIDE TO SAVE YOU TIME
Before each day, read what is requested for homework completion. As much as possible
answer homework questions during the seminar, the evening after the seminar, or shortly
after the seminar to make life easier for you. You will save lots of time this way! You will
also have your copy of Teaching East Asia: Korea to answer nearly all of your homework
assignments.
Have plenty of note paper and pens available throughout the week.
Monday: You will have the opportunity Wednesday evening to watch Korea: The Never Ending
War, an outstanding 2019 documentary that will provide you with an understanding of the Korean
War and the resulting challenging issues that exist today. The film will eliminate some of the
History homework questions (see # 12). History #1 can be answered on pages 7-8 of Teaching
East Asia: Korea.
Read the homework Music questions and answer as many of the questions as possible during the
seminar. Be sure to have the questions available during the lectures and answer as many as you
can at the time.
For Tuesday: Read the homework Art questions before class on Tuesday and take the
appropriate notes during the seminar folk art lecture and lesson to answer the questions.
For Wednesday: Read the homework questions on Religion and Philosophy and take notes that
will help you answer the questions. The temple visit on Thursday will also be very helpful and
memorable. Also, read the homework Language questions and you will be able to answer most of
the questions by listening to Sung Kim’s lecture. Music: Read the Korean Pop questions in the
homework music section and have them available to answer as you listen to the lecture.
Read Literature homework questions on sijo poetry before Wednesday. You will be able to
respond to some of the questions during the seminar.
For Thursday: Read the Friendship Bell (pages 7-8), and Tourism (pages 259-265) questions
before the field trip or when you are on the bus. As time permits, answer some of the questions.
For Friday: Read the Korean American and Taekwondo questions before class on Friday.
Answer the questions as much as possible during the lectures.
