Geluo Liang
Literary Director
Geluo Liang is a member
of the Chinese Dancers
Association and is a prominent
dramaturg, director and online
dance critic. He has written,
planned and directed many
large-scale stage shows and—
with a deep understanding of
China and Eastern culture—is
committed to exploring
and discovering the cultural
exchanges between tradition
and modernity, and between
the East and the West. He
comes to stage and theatre
work from two perspectives:
as a commentator and
critic, in which capacity he
has objectively observed
numerous classical and
contemporary pieces;
and as a creator, having
participated in the planning,
writing and direction of a
wide range of performances.
His work often explores
and experiments with the
interface between stagecraft,
video communication and
the internet.
