SPEAKER BIOS Speaker Bios ALAN REED Manager Plant and Fleet Toowoomba Regional Council With over 20 years Fleet Management experience, Alan currently manages the fleet and the workshop/trade functions of the eight Councils that amalgamated to form Toowoomba Regional Council. He has also held positions with a wide variety of organisations including Cement Australia and Brisbane City Council. He played a key role in the establishment of QFleet, where he managed the transition from individual departments managing their own fleets to the centralised professional fleet management organisation. Alan holds Australian Institute of Company Directors Diploma. With a background in mechanical engineering and manufacturing, he is widely experienced in all aspects in the use and application of airbags into all manner of vehicles, trailers, RV’s, industrial equipment and agricultural machinery. David has a wealth of experience collected along his journey in the automotive industry including multi-franchise ownership and extensive Motorsport involvement - culminating in driving a Formula One car in Italy. For the last 10 years, Chris has trained Advanced Defensive Driving in many countries throughout the world, and consulted on land transport safety issues, specifically in the mining and resources sector. With over 18 years Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Environmental experience in multiple sectors. Dwayne has a career that extends over 5 different countries. Dwayne is especially passionate about road safety. Having worked in high risk environments where road safety is not considered a priority, Dwayne was able to bring about the culture and leadership change needed to place road safety as a key business risk.
