2019 Annual Report | Page 3

Home of the Innocents had an amazing Fiscal Year, serving 12,748 children and families with our 28 services. Year after year, our team continues our dedication to excellence, showing compassion, embracing wellness, and empowering each other and those we serve – and this year was no different. We began implementation of the Sanctuary Model,® introducing a system-wide approach to creating a trauma-informed culture that benefits those we serve and our team members. Our Children’s Assessment and Transitional Services (CATS) Center is approaching its second birthday, providing a nurturing environment for young children entering the foster care system for the first time. Open Arms Children’s Health opened their Dare to Care Prescriptive Food Pantry, supplying healthy food to families in need. Kosair Charities Pediatric Convalescent Center has entered a new era of care for medically complex children, many of whom have more diagnoses than ever before. As the needs of our clients evolve, our services continue to adapt to our community. The Home is challenged to provide the highest level of care as we enrich the lives of children and families with hope, health, and happiness. We are proud of the work we’ve done and will continue to do for years to come. These amazing services would not be possible without your unwavering support. Your contributions never go unnoticed and we are deeply appreciative of all you do for our organization and the children and families we serve. Paul W.
