Community Leader
Award.
On August 28th, the Jaguars Foundation celebrated 25 years of
community engagement on the First Coast and the start of the
2019 football season with their annual Back to Football Kickoff
Luncheon presented by CSX
The luncheon featured the presentation of the 2019 Jaguars
Foundation Community Leader Award and the 2019 Jaguars
Sportsmanship and Courage Award. The Community Award
recipient Community Leader award recipient was Former
Jaguar CB A.J. Bouye. The award recognizes the individual who is
making significant contributions to the community through their
time, actions and dedication. A.J. gave extensively of his time to
cancer charities and events. He made a difference in the lives of
those affected by making numerous visits to Wolfson’s Children’s
Hospital, appearing at Jaguars Crucial Catch Survivor Night and he
personally donated Superbowl tickets with travel and a meet and
greet to Breast Cancer Survivors. A.J. truly embodies what this
award represents.
The Jaguars Sportsmanship and Courage award is designed to
recognize the individual who is a leader in the locker room and
has overcome obstacles with great courage. The award went to
Josh Lambo. Josh exhibits leadership with his work with various
nonprofits. Josh can always be counted on to support the Jaguars
Foundation’s initiatives, whether it’s showing off his golf game at
the annual Jaguars Golf Classic or attending the Taste of the NFL
dinner for hunger awareness. He has made contributions of both
his time and money to animal welfare organizations such as Fur
Sisters and the Jacksonville Humane Society.
